2021 Lockdown Collecting #1 - January, quiet January.

January was a mega quiet month for me, just three new shirts added to my collection, but what Brighton beauties they are.

First up is a 2020 - 2021 matchworn home shirt.

You'll notice the Poppy emblem, this was worn in one of the early November 2020 matches, either against Tottenham on 1st November or Burnley on 6th November.

Worn by superfast winger Tariq Lamptey, hopefully we'll get a chance to see what he does in an England shirt one day soon, he is quite eyecatching. You can also see the "No room for racism" sleeve patch which appears on all Premier League team shirts in the 2020 - 2021 season.

Next up is a matchworn away shirt, also from the 2020 - 2021 season.

This was worn by the influential midfielder, Yves Bissouma. Yves is a Malian international who joined Brighton from Lille in 2018 and is pretty hot property right now.

Where would one of my posts be without a Brighton Goalies shirt? My final shirt for January is a shirt that almost was.

This striking Nike template goalkeeper shirt was configured for Brighton at the beginning of the season, and had Maty Ryans nameset applied in readiness. The decision was taken not to proceed with this colour option so this shirt is one-of-a-kind, the only one ever made.

That's it for January shirt friends, you can of course check out my galleries page, see the link at the top, to see loads more of my shirt collection, or visit my website, www.oldfootballshirts.com to see the worlds greatest football shirt history.
